Owner Phil Goodman has been a frequent seminar speaker and instructor at conferences such as Macworld Expo and MacFair/LA and has been a member of the Apple Consultants Network (ACN) program since its inception in 1989. He is an Apple Certified Technical Coordinator and Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist demonstrating expert level Mac OS X knowledge. He has also been recognized by Apple as an "Apple Product Professional" – a designation reserved for only the top achievers in Apple's online education program, Learn and Earn. In 1999, Phil was selected as one of nine consultants to join the Apple Consultants Network Advisory Council and he is also a proud member of the FileMaker Solutions Alliance. In May of 2001, Apple Computer wrote a success story about Goodman Consulting. Phil continues to be a nationally recognized speaker for Macintosh technology and also provides regular training to the Los Angeles area ACN community as a member of the group's leadership board.
Background
Phil completed both his undergraduate work in Molecular Biology and graduate work at the prestigious Graduate School of Education at UCLA and has also been a member of the Faculty of the Department of Mathematics at UCLA where he taught computer literacy and computer programming. He also wrote the textbook for the introductory computing courses that was used by several thousand students at the University for many years.
Phil is the founder (in 1992) and president of the Los Angeles Portable User Group and was one of the original five board members of the FileMaker Developers in Southern California Group (FMDiSC). He has also served as a Director and is former Vice-President of the Los Angeles Macintosh Group, one of the largest computer user groups in the world.
